Grading, assessment, and feedback are some of the most essential parts of effective teaching and learning, yet teachers often lack proper resources to utilize them effectively. The aim of this site is to provide educators with a first-hand account of grading, assessment, and feedback implementation, along with resources to aid in implementation, to improve their practice and ultimately increase student learning.
Josh Kunnath is a high school English teacher and department chair at Highland High School in Bakersfield, California, where he has taught since 2008. As a practitioner-researcher, his expertise is in the areas of teacher grading and assessment practices and teacher and student feedback practices. In addition to publishing multiple articles on these topics, he continues to apply his ideas in the classroom and collaborate with educators around California in the interest of improving teacher practice and student learning. Joshua has served as editor of the Journal of School Administration Research and Development since 2017. He received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno in 2015.
